Setting Up the Epson C3500 Label Printer for Just Attend Kiosk

The Just Attend Kiosk is compatible with the Epson ColorWorks C3500 Label Printer. The printer can be USB or network connected to the kiosk PC. However, the Epson Print Driver must be installed on the kiosk PC. Using Windows Compatibility drivers is not supported and will lead to incorrect print areas.

You can download the print driver from the following link

Epson C3500 Print Driver

Once the driver is installed and the printer connected, go to Printer Properties // General // Preferences

Change the Media Name to "Custom"

Change the Media Width to 95.3mm and the Media Height to 274.3mm

Press Apply and then OK

The printer is now configured to print the standard labels and cut them to size.

Labels

The supported label media is 102.5 x 276mm tag with badge size 96.5 x 134mm, Non tear resistant, non adheasive material for use with Epson C3500 fanfolded stack 500 per box. These can be ordered from amlabels.co.uk as a special order.

Printer Maintenance

The printer will take about 5 to 8 minutes to warm up and charge the ink on the first power on. This is normal. The printer will consume quite a lot of ink from the cartridges for this process but stores it in internal ink wells. A set of cartridges brand new should print somewhere in the region of 500 labels before they need to be changed. Once the printer is powered on, it is recommended to leave it powered on for the entire event, even overnight.

The first label print following a full power on will take about 4 minutes. After that, each label takes about 3 seconds to print. It is recommended to test print one badge on each printer before opening badge printing to the public.

We also recommend that you purchase a spare ink maintenance box for the C3500 as these can fill up quickly. Product Code C33S020580

When your event is finished, remove the ink cartridges and dispose of them if you plan not to use the printer for a period of 3 months or longer. Run the cleaning maintenance cycle before powering off and packing up.
